Please join Native Waters on Arid Lands (NWAL) for a climate change workshop for the Jicarilla Apache Nation on September 5th, 2018 in Dulce, NM. At this workshop, members of the NWAL team will share climate projections and hydrologic data that they have developed for the Jicarilla Apache Nation, and gather feedback from workshop participants about how to make this data more useful and accessible to people who are involved with agriculture on tribal lands.
The purpose of this workshop is to make climate data available and accessible to our tribal partners to inform discussions about the impacts to traditional and production livestock and crop agriculture from warming temperatures and extreme precipitation events and options to enhance the climate resiliency of tribal agriculture.
